If we were using years of service as our measure, then Frank Figel would be one of the oldest members of the IndustrieHansa team. He has been with the company since 1996 – and has never regretted it. "IndustrieHansa was the right choice," he says, looking back on many eventful years.

After finishing his studies in mechanical engineering and gaining experience at other companies, he first joined IndustrieHansa as a materials handling designer at the Ratingen office. He liked the company and the area so much that he has stayed here ever since. But that's not to say that his career progression has been uneventful. He progressed from his role as designer to group leader before being promoted to team leader.

At the beginning of 2001 he moved another step up the career ladder when he accepted the post of department manager for Digital Engineering. This position involves far-reaching responsibility for the company's activities in a field that is primarily concerned with 3D design and consulting, FEM calculations, and project and quality management. "IndustrieHansa expects a lot, but offers a lot too – that's what makes it such an attractive employer."
