Supply and value stream planning

In recent years the relocation of value-added activities and a constantly increasing model and variant diversity have significantly altered the form and volume of procurement. Not only have procurement volumes grown, so has the complexity of logistics tasks. This results in tougher demands on the planning, control and coordination of logistics networks.

This is where our services come in. Using lean management applications such as value stream analysis, we develop cost-optimized complete logistics solutions. Supply processes are planned, fully optimized and prepared for implementation, from production to the supplier, using the 'line-back' approach.

We draw on commonly used material supply strategies such as just-in-sequence (JIS) and just-in-time (JIT) but also innovative concepts like in-house sequencing and consignment or warehouse-on-wheels (WoW) concepts.
Our supply planning and value stream planning services at a glance:

  • Complete value stream planning (value stream analysis and design)
  • Optimization and standardization of logistics processes using the line-back approach
  • Potential analysis of process costs, e.g. transport, handling and investment costs
  • Evaluation of suitable material supply strategies
  • Assistance in selecting suppliers through complete logistics cost evaluation
  • Design and implementation of logistics concepts, taking account of lean management principles
  • Logistics process FMEAs to establish supply contingency strategies
