To commercial airlines, the cabin is of crucial importance in a competitive market. On the one hand, the cabin must offer a high level of comfort and sophisticated component ergonomics. But on the other hand, optimum use must be made of all available space and flexibility is of the essence – to the extent that it must be possible to convert a passenger aircraft into a cargo version and vice versa, with minimal effort.

During the preliminary design phase, aircraft concepts are evaluated from the viewpoint of cabin utilization and market acceptance. Our services in this area cover two main aspects:

• The production of 2D cabin layouts using state-of-the art simulation tools and 3D analyses using Catia V5
• Detailed planning of individual cabin elements such as steps, toilets and new cabin configurations.
