Mise Au Point (MAP)

During the production and assembly of an aircraft on the final assembly line, the fitting out of the aircraft with the cabin components, and delivery to the airline, problems can arise as a result of design or production errors. Correcting these errors early on requires experienced aviation engineers who liaise between the development departments and the production department.

We have been working with aircraft manufacturer Airbus Germany for several years to minimize the number of errors during production of the A380. The tasks we perform include

  • Appraisal, assessment and evaluation of design and production errors
  • Problem-solving on the aircraft itself
  • Coordination and identification of solutions for engineering problems
  • Handling of airline complaints during delivery (quality log book)
  • Documentation of 'pre-status' and 'post-status'

Many activities in this area, known by the French acronym MAP (Mise Au Point) are implemented with customer-specific IT tools such as MODA, ELSY, GESY, TAKSY and ZAMIZ, or with SAP and CATIA V4.
