Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is one of the supreme disciplines of CAE simulations. Highly complex physical processes must be simulated reliably, in order to achieve results of an equal quality to the often expensive and time-consuming alternative of model experiments.
The advantages of simulation are:
to achieve the technical objective.
An addition to analysis of the fuselage, wings, tail or jet engines and their components, it is also possible to analyze and optimize air flows inside the climate-controlled cabin and pipe flows. This can even be done in conjunction with thermal analyses. Flow simulations can be laminar or turbulent, compressible or incompressible, transient or stationary.
