Process engineering

Our process engineers are experts in matters such as the layout of pumps, lines, heat exchangers and compressors, the dimensioning of pipes, and pressure loss calculations. They define and optimize the processes involved in steam generation, steam utilization and condensation within the gas-and-steam process and also handle other process engineering tasks such as

  • configuring the conveyance and metering of energy sources
  • the supporting use of measuring technologies and energy balances
  • configuration and dimensioning of volumetric flows, pressures and temperatures of gaseous and liquid substances and process engineering systems
  • optimization of leak volumes and flow simulations
  • configuration of cooling systems and
  • production of approval documents.

For our projects we use leading tools such as Prochem C, AutoCAD P&ID, SmartPlant P&ID, PDS, PDMS, Microstation, Pro/PIPING, Rohr 2, CFX-Tascflow, Star-CD, FLUENT, GAMBIT and ICEM. We apply standards such as DIN EN ISO 10628 (piping and instrumentation diagrams), DIN 2429 (pipework systems), DIN 19227 (control technology) and DIN 6779 (KKS power plant classification).
