José Carreras accepts donation in person

The Munich-based company IndustrieHansa Engineering & Consulting GmbH presented a donation of EUR 10,000 to the José Carreras International Leukaemia Foundation. "Instead of giving Christmas presents to customers and business associates we are again donating to the fight against leukaemia this year", is how IndustrieHansa CEO René Esser explains the company's action. He is convinced the potential recipients of the Christmas gifts agree with him that the money is better spent on a donation for charitable purposes.

Just before the start of the grand José Carreras Gala, CEO René Esser and Marketing Manager Christian Kullmann handed the donation cheque personally to the world famous tenor and foundation founder José Carreras. José Carreras used the opportunity to expressly thank the companies and customers who were willing to forgo Christmas and thus become co-donors to a good cause.

The money donated by IndustrieHansa will go towards scientific research projects concerning the causes of leukaemia and new possible therapies to treat it. It will also be used to set up and maintain parent-child wards.

IndustrieHansa has been committed to the work of the José Carreras International Leukaemia Foundation for many years and also supports regional aid projects for children.
