Introduction
A leading manufacturer of pumps and pump systems is launching an innovation which uses an intelligent control system to cut energy requirements in buildings by up to 20 percent. A new production cell is to be set up at a production site in France for the production of parts for these multi-stage centrifugal pumps. The company is looking for qualified external methodical and technical advice to assist its own staff in implementing these plans.

IndustrieHansa is given the job of providing technical support to the layout planning of the production cell and assisting in the optimum implementation of plans.

Solution: Focus of advice on supervision of planning activities and assessment of the content of the production planning results for/in a review. The consultancy work also focused on reviewing the planning of material flows and provisions as well as the calculation of key production figures (cycle times, batch sizes, capacities required, staff utilization etc.) and the arrangement of pieces of production equipment in relation to one another in the production cell.
