Introduction
When developing a new aircraft special emphasis is put on the cabin. On the one hand a safe and comfortable flight with new technical solutions, i.e. lighting or on-board entertainment shall be offered to the passenger, and on the other hand requirements to the manufacturers increase due to the airline specific design variety in combination with the demand for low weight and a high accuracy of fit. Compliance with the geometrical properties will be assured by tolerance calculations.
An important European manufacturer of cabin elements required additional specialists in order to carry out tolerance management activities. Due to their many years experience the customer decided to consult the know-how of IndustrieHansa experts.
